Ecu Code1 Oxygen Sensor bad cat catalytic converter?
i just threw on the old cat and i am getting loss in power, a surging idle and cel #1.
could the problem be cause by the old cat? or is it just a coincidence that the o2 sensor went bad at the same time?

CEL 1 should never be due to a cat, the primary O2 is pre-cat.
I'm assuming you're talking about your EG and an OEM O2....
at the O2
black/black - heater wires
white - O2 signal
orange - O2 ground
at the engine harness to the O2
yel/blk - 12V ign to O2 heater (black)
orn/blk - O2 heater control (black)
wht - O2 signal (white)
grn/wht - ground (green)

i mustve knocked something loose when i installed the cat.
yes i meant my eg and i have some non oem o2 though.
i reconnected the wires and no code after 1.5 hours of driving.
