Just swaped in a d15b, map sensor help please
Well after a long weekend, I got my d15b started up. Runs like a champ...except the idle
It is idling at 1700. When Im driving down the road, and i put the clucth in, the rpms drop to 700-900 and rev back up to 1700+/-
Car is also running very rich, and throwing a cel
Could this be due to the map sensor not pluged in?
Me and my step dad couldnt find where to plug in the map sensor in on the d15b. Anybody know where it goes?
Thanks
PS I searched

Well if my car wasnt gay i would know. When I go to jump the wire and i turn the igniton on, the check engine light doesnt come on. But if the paper clip isnt in the sensor it turns on for a second and turns off while the key is on ign.
I know my check engine light is my map sensor, just wanted to know what to do with it.

This info is for civics I am not sure how much of it will be true for del sols
Ok for the problem with not being able to retrieve codes check the underhood ecu 15a fuse and the backup 7.5a fuse. I had a similar problem and one of those fuses was blown.
The map sensor plug will be a round plug with three wires connected to it. If you previously had a firewall mounted map sensor the wire colors will be WHT, GRN/BLU, YEL/GRN. If your map sensor was on top of the throttle body then the wire colors will be WHT, GRN/WHT, YEL/RED.
Also double check that you didn't switch the iacv plug with the map because they have the same type of plug. The wire colors for iacv are WHT/YEL, RED/BLU, GRN/WHT
Hope this helps

You've recently swapped, if you could look at where your hoses are routed I would appreciate it.

Ok heres some pictures to the loose sensors i have.
Number 1-
Numer 2-
Number 3- Now this sensor is confusing, it is connected to that black rubber thing. Located on the bottom, of the right side on the IM. It has a sensor that comes off of it. Nothing looks like it will fit up with it.
Thanks

i think the black hose is to the charcoal canister, and as far as i know, its completely useless except for emissions purposes.
my z6 has a skunk 2 IM and i have no where to stik that little hose, and it runs fine.
i dunno bout the others tho.

what chassis is this you got your swap in?
well i used my jdm intake manifold, but the USDM stock TB. looks like you dont even have a map sensor, with needs to go into one of those plugs and the other side is attached to the little hose. the other looks to be a TPS harness, unless those are the same harnesses u took a picture of?
