Default MAP sensor question

so my engine will not rev past 3400-3500rpm it has been acting like it is hitting the rev limiter and the check engine light is on. when i ran the system the only code i got from the ECU is reading code 16-fuel injector. my friend told me that it is my TPS. Well when he told me this i went out and removed the MAP sensor, i kno not the right sensor i realized this later. when i finally found the TPS i noticed that it was riveted in and not replaceable. so i rehooked up the MAP sensor. and so for the fun of it i started the car and had no problems. reved just fine, i took it down the street with not one glitch. later that night the check engine light came back on. i did the same thing just a few minutes ago thinking maybe its the MAP sensor and again ran great no check engine light.

would the MAP sensor cause a premature rev limiter?

Check/replace your air and fuel filters. It could be that the reason the car worked better after you disconnected and reconnected the MAP sensor was because it got to sit for awhile.

idk the check engine light came on instantaniously when i started the car and would start hittin rev limiter at 3400-3500rpm

i just took it out a again it went all the way to 5500rpm so i think i may have found my problem still not sure how that would cause the problem i was having.

anyone have any idea y and how the MAP sensor would would cause such this problem?
