Default z3 throttle body question

With all of the issues surrounding the DBW system on the FG, has the possibility of swapping to a cable throttle body ever been considered?

You could probably just use the K20A2 computer and throttle body but u'd have to custom mount a cable type pedal and run the cable.

Couldn't this be done instead of waiting on/hoping for Hondata to come up with a solution? Maybe run an a2 base map and tune from there?

sorry, i guess the board is a little quicker than I can type

You'd think an aftermarket company would have picked up on the throttle idea quick and made something to mod ours to cable.

Assuming other throttle body's will bolt up to the intake manifold, you'll also have to run cable and swap over a different ECU.

The digital speedometer works off of our ECU and does not work with the other ECU's. Any company that has swapped a motor over either had to swap over a racing guage cluster or just not have any idea how fast they were going.

THAT'S why we're waiting for someone to crack it.
