Mustang Throttle Body
Anyone have any information on how to configure a throttle cable to work with a Mustang throttle body?
I already have the mounting and TPS taken care of, just need to figure out the best way to get the throttle cable to work.
Thanks in advance.

Never heard of this, I'm sure people do it? Can you post pics up so we can see the setup, I'm sure you're going to have to fab some brackets up depending on which way the butterfly plate it positioned.

Re: Mustang Throttle Body
it can be done. and people do it. its easier if you have a "universal" mustang throttle body...summit and edelbrock both sell them. the cable wheel has more notches and you just fab up a bracket for the mounting of the throttle cable on your intake manifold. it isnt terribly difficult.....

i used the mustang throttle cable, and made spacers out of 1/4inch chromoly tube that is used to mount the cable to the fire wall.

these 1st 2 pictures are showing the mustang throttle cable clipped onto the recieving piece on the Holley Mustang throttle body. the bracket i used is off of a B series hydro transmission, it usually holds the cluch line on the front side of the transmission.
these are the 2 pieces of chromoly tube i used to properly space the cable out, to have proper tension through out the length of the cable..
here is the end of the mustang throttle cable, showing that it does clip into the honda pedal (it does not have slack in it, when everything is fully assembled properly. )

Re: Mustang Throttle Body
DaveF, thanks a lot. That helped tremendously.
You can just use a stock Ford TPS ($35 brand new), and wire it in the your tune able ECU. Then rescale the TPS values.
The IACV I have blocked off. But you can get it to work if you have a block off plate for the TB and Honda IACV. Then make two ports in each and connect them with hoses.
