Default 4th gen audio problem. Help.

I ordered from Japan the 4th gen Rear Center Sub unit, came with bracket, 6x9 sub, and OEM amp. I wired everything up (factory existing green harness to amp and the remainding two wires to the +,- of the speaker. Everything works like it should on Radio mode, but I when I switch to play CD, the bass dissapears - nothing coming out of the sub, rest of the speakers work.
I noticed that on the JDM harness that goes to the amp, there are 10 wires. On my USDM harness there are 9 wires. What does the extra wire serve for?
Also I have an aftermarket Sony in-dash receiver.
Just wanted to know if this happens to any of you or are my wiring messed up?
Will try to post some pics later tonight to show exactly what I'm dealing with.

no he is saying the way that amp knows to turn on is when you turn the radio on, the antenna gets power...you need to run the remote wire from your head unit to that same wire on the amp, and just cut it from the other source so the antenna doesnt go up always.....

ok the amp rem goes to your amp so it will stay on when the ignition is on. if you can find the power wire for the amp just tap it into that remote wire on your headunit
