Distributor coil tested bad, replaced it and now the car still isn't firing?

I went through the Helms procedure of testing the distributor coil with my multimeter and it definitely tested bad. I had a couple of friends to test it themselves to confirm it as well. Well today I replaced the coil and the car is still not getting spark. I'm not sure on what the next logical step should be. What would cause the coil pack to seem as if it's not good even when it is? Is there a possible sensor somewhere that I might have missed that would cause this?

I had the same thing happen to me. It turned out being the ignitor.

I guess that's next on the list. It's funny that this stuff would go bad. It all worked fine when I pulled the engine but I guess sitting for two years (yeah two years
) can make some things go bad.

I know this sounds real stupid, but I have done it. Did you put the rotor back on? I rebuilt a LS dizzy a couple months back and spent 2 hours checking other things before I opened it up and walah
