Default San Antonio Racers & Friends

Wutz up? Well I've been here in San Antonio for almost a week. I've only seen a few Acura's or Honda's. I barely see any dealerships that even sell them. LMAO this isn't a good sign for me. I'm trying to figure out the best car shops to head to, and where the racers chill @. I mean as of now I'm riding in moms Toyota until I get my hands on a 92-93 Integra for a reasonable price. Or maybe even a CRX, or Del Sol. But I really wanna know what's up with this area! Sideways signal lights like I'm in japan or something lmao (just joking)! But I have to get a dose of my honda's & honda integras cause these is just rediculous. I may stay by the army base (Sam Houston) but damn!

Theres a decent crowd of racers around here, most aren't dedicated to one type of breed though. Mustang guys are over populated, but theres still a huge crowd of import guys. I just moved back here from PA, i've seen alot more here than back east. Sunday nights, goto military drive - everybody lines up the road and im sure you can figure out what else they do. Theres also austin highway on friday and saturday theres a place too i just can't remember the name. Just gotta remember that S.A. is ALOT more spread out than other cities, so you have to look further to find the scenes your looking for. Check out: http://www.texasracingscene.com/ for more of the locals. Welcome to TX!

San antonio sucks... there are sooo many gay ricers here... Every day i see another neon with a wing. Know what? There is this one guy ive seen his neon... a wing freakin like 2 feet above the rear trunk... lame... On the good side though, cuz of the people with horrible taste in this city, no one steals our cars really...

Yea I hear you. Finding my way around the area is hard as of now, I'm trying to figure everything out still. I've been myspace pimpin it trying to get the ladies to show me around so far. I got luck and the day I came I had a date the same night (SCOOOOOOOORRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!! Ya dig). But daily I'm riding bored out my mind in my moms whip until I find something to do & learn the area. Until I find someone selling the integra I'm looking for, a CRX, or Del Sol worth getting. Appreciate it though everyone, hopefully Texas turns out to be ok cause I know its not gonna be better than FL.

Props on the date I still hardly know anyone here. I've been hangin around family. Myspace works sometimes. The riverwalk is nice, did you go there yet? I've personally never been to FL - but im sure i'd love the car scene there. My teg has been my primary focus for the last month, motor is out getting rebuilt & prepped for boost. Can't wait! I'll get back to you with the other hangouts, my cousin is a mustang guy but has a diverse group of friends. DSM's & hondas included.

I haven't been to the Riverwalk Center yet. Yea I miss the Orlando car scene & all the shops and hook-ups I had. I need some connects on getting a new car now for a cheap little price. And I can get parts from friends I know back in FL. who'll send me the parts. But this is what I was used to seeing out in Orlando:

Why does the supra's plate say VA? Looks like a fair amount of blowby on that rear bumper. What kinda car you lookin for? A DA or something like that? Try autotrader.com ? You'll just have to do the car hunting yourself here. What kinda budget you lookin at? Mabye buy something that doesnt run for cheap & build a motor for it. Always get more HP for your $$ that way. Check out the riverwalk, the mall there is full of tourists but down low theres lots of nightlife & such. Good luck with your car!

actually, military got shut down some time ago..no one goes out there anymore. thursday nights at bennigans at I-10 and Wurzbach.. peeps meet up and then go out to race. There are a few others, but Benni's is fairy big. That and I think they still meet up at Best Buy on San Pedro Sunday nights to replace military drive. Hit me up, I'm in SA and drive a GSR, I can show you a few spots.

Ahh!! Thanks! I was waiting for somebody to reply with that exact info! I moved away from here 6 years ago, and just got back. I was up in PA -- once a year I would come back to see fam. and they took me to the places I listed above. I have a 2001 GSR, Motor is out gettin eagle rods, cp pistons, and other prep for boost. Ill PM ya when I get it done, you can show me the local spots. BTW: "Lockheedload" does that have anything to do with airplanes? My dad works in the FAA in S.A. -- just wondering.
