jdm vs usdm swap ?
im sure youre going to tell me to search it up and flame me for being a noob
so sorry in advance
i have a 2000 civic ex coupe
i was wondering if i go for a jdm b18c1 2000+ will i have to do anything else to make it pass california state regulations when i have the swap done?
the reason i ask is because it is kind of hard to find a usdm spec b18c1 2000+ motor on the web. but finding a jdm one is alot easier.
thanks guys

http://www.hmotorsonline.com has usdm and jdm motors. So far i've heard these are the best people to deal with. Give them a try...
I believe the change over parts are, the oil pump, crank fluctuation sensor, the distributor, and an 02 sensor. Check up on these parts though i might be wrong on one...

what sensors have you heard of going out? the o2 sensors etc.
when i get an engine i was planning on stripping the block cleaning out all the carbon i can find then changing rods+gaskets+sensors?+supercharge+headers+msd ignition system before it goes in the car.
anything else i should do before she goes in so that i wont encounter too much problem?
thanks for all the help in advance you all rock!

i know what you mean, we have it here too. i guess there is a rumor that they are going ot stop test emission for obd I here in illinois cause its too expensive to run them on rollers. hope for the best for all the obd I here (i'm one of them)!

I think I'm obd I too if i'm correct but anyways if they do that what does that mean? Just no testing/emissons? Wouldn't that be somewhat good then cuz you can have whatever engine you want no? I don't know a "friend" said if your car is 20 years or older no more emissons I guess but that'll be a long time to wait for me..but anyways yeah that sucks I guess I can just move to the places with no emissons but then need a good job in order to move there
