Default My setup low budget to HT standarts

Setup

Block:
B16A1 EDM
USDM GSR pistons (to lower compression)
stock rods

Head :
stock B16
GSR cams
stock valves
valve springs
victorX intake manifold

Turbo setup :
Innovative GTS61E custom .63 stage 4 turbine
Ebay 3" intercooler
self made top mount
3" downpipe

misc:
Crane cams Hi6 ignition (used for 2 step launch control)
MSD blaster HVC coil
RC450 injectors for now (till my PT1000cc's get here)
walbro 255LPH
Golden eagle fuel rail

This is where it all began
I bought carbed 93 civic EX with D15B2 engine. (Don't know where it came from)liked the challange of the carb to efi swap.
Just hate that rust proofing stuf in the enginebay.

Got a cheap deal on an EDM B16A1

rebuilt and Swapped the B16A into the civic

Self made top mount manifold.
sat in the rain a few days LOL.

Intercooler shot

Turbo shot

wanted to keep the budget down on this project.

TO do list:
Paint valvecover
remove rust proofing from engine bay
HIt the track and DYNO

id ditch the current radiator in favor of at least a dual core....and also get some worm clamps for those hoses....you dont want to be blwoin anything in the cooling system...otherwise things look dam good!

Many people use single cores with no problems at all. No need to waste money upgrading parts that may not be bad in the first place.

mmk....but dont complain to me when you blow a hg and have to tear it all apart once again....a simple $60 upgrade to a dual core will save tons of headaces....sell the used one for 30...and call it a day....

I used the radiator just to start and brake in the engine....ordering a dual core next week. I'm surprised at how well the temps are holding.

its not the half radiator than concerns me...its the fact that it is a single core....not a dual core...notice the size of it....hell even stock b16's come w/ a dual core which work extremly well on 90% of boosted setups.....here he has a single core...w/ heavy boostin at approx 400whp i see some slight vary in ECT temps but w/ this rad...he has half the surface area therefor half the coolin capacity...

Again the single core is just a temporary solution.
