alright, im in the process of installing new rear speakers(old ones were blown). It says on sounddomain.com that they should be 6 1/2" speakers, but the ones i got wont fit, width wise or height wise. I'm starting to think that my car did not come with factory rear speakers,and that the guy who i got the car from put them in himself. anyone have a pic of what the mounting bracket looks like?

theres suposed to be a circular mount that will let them mount in i dont have pics but it looks like a hole for a speaker

 

so the ones in my car the guy most likely made himself??

 

no they are the factory mounts for the speakers but there is more to it thats not there

 

what are the other pieces? where do they go? and any idea why the guy that had the car before me would have taken them out?

This is what you need on top of the rear brackets that are allready cut out like the ones you own. This will fit a 6 1/2 in speaker perfect.

 

just use a 4x6 speaker you may have to trim to fit but they will fit got infinity plates in mine but had to use a kenwood grill as it was the only speaker that comes with a grill in that size

 

alright, i think i'd be better off getting the 4 x 6s cause finding those rear brackets would be hard to do.
