?? Cut lowering springs bad Idea good idea has anyone done this yet???
I have neuspeed lowering springs 1.7 drop in the front and I forget about in the back. I was wondering if anyone has cut there springs any to make them lower I know this probaly is stupid and dumb and maybe it will make the car ride like **** maybe I dont know. but I dont want to re buy like say eibach sport line springs to make my car lower. thanks. Mark
Like he said^^^^ dont cut'em. Springs are so cheap, and so are coil overs that you'd be happier selling them, and getting a new set of something with adjustment.
I use to have skunk 2 coilovers and they are way to bouncy I alwaays hit my head on my roof in my car thats why I went to lowering springs and it rides so perfect. dosent bounce at all. but I want my car just like maybe like a 1 inch lower. but I just wanted to see what you guys would say thanks.
man you can get H&R race springs for 125$ shipped from venders here...why cut springs and totally lose their value if you can sell them and pay almost nothing for new springs?

Full coilover suspension is the only way to go. I have had ajdustable coilovers on stock shocks, lowering springs on stock shocks, lowering springs on aftermarket shocks and they all cant even compare close to a good quality coilover kit.
^ that's because you probably had crappy aftermarket shocks.
A coilover sleeve kit w/ quality shocks is comparable to a full coilover kit.(and better than a lot of the basic kits *ahem*tein)
Ask around and see how many people run Koni Yellows and GC sleeves.
Lowering more than ~1.5" on stock shocks is asking for trouble. They're not valved to keep up with a stiffer spring.
