Default 6 1/2 door wiring troubles

I am installing some aftermarket 6 1/2's on the doors and I have some monster speaker wires to hook up to my amp. I was wondering if someone could help me out, I need to wire this cable through the rubber boot thing and down to the speaker. I am having trouble finding out how to do this. I have very little hand room to reach the rubber boot and I cant really see where inside the car the cables come out of. Oh I hope people have pictures
Oh and I have a 2000 Lude FYI

unless your running serious power, just catch the wire behind the radio.

Yeah thats what I was thinking. From the speakers in the door there are 2 power and 2 ground cables but behind the head unit there is only 1 power cable...where is the other, does it matter?
ex. There are two red w/ green line cables coming from the speaker and behind the headunit there is only one red w/ green line. Would I just connect my speaker wire to that one red w/ green cable and wire it to my amp?

its possible their are 2 of each speaker wire in the door cause it has to have a second set of wire to run up to the tweeter. heres your wires though, their the same from 97-01 so i just got the last year.

In order to get wires run into your doors, 9 out 10 times you have to take the door off. Don't be scared to do it, the doors aren't that heavy (unless its a german car). Two guys can do it fine.

It's easier to take off the fender. We had this discussion some time ago I believe...

Just take off the fenders, pull out the harness, drill a couple (or one big) holes and pull the wire through it. But use the stock wire if you can...makes life easier.

Dude I did it without removing either!!!!

its just a bitch...

with the the door open and the panels off, push the grommet off the door and pull the groment out of the car, gently of course..

now since the grommets are off, dissconnect the connector/molex from the door,
mark each pin, and depin the connector..

with the connector off, you can easily slide off the rubber grommet so we can work with it...

the only mod that you might have to do to the grommet is to remove the middle rubber tubing and replace it with some larger wire loom, then wrap the thing in eletrical tape again...

get a wire coat hanger, cut it, and make a hooking tool so u can stick it through the hole in the body where the grommet was, to pull ur new wires through.

now just run the wires through the modded grommet, and put them back in their stock locations,

it takes some creativity to get the rubber to fit nice and snug, but i'm sure u can figure it out...

hope that helped,

too bad i didn't take pictures of what i did...
