Default Subwoofer installtion help

So i have a Kenmore KDC-MP242 Deck in my civic, and I got a http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...EL-Series.html as a gift from a relative, but i have no idea how to install it.
First of all, i dont have the wires to hook it up, and i dont have any amps too.

So can anyone tell me what exactly do i need and how to set it up?
I would like the sub and amp to be in my trunk.

youll need power wire, remote wire, rca's and speaker wire
buy a wiring kit
then..

run the 12v power wire (8 gauge) from the battery through the firewall and then to the amp.

Find a solid metal ground somewhere near the amplifier.

take radio out, take your remote wire and splice/solder it onto that blue-whitestriped wire and run it through the dash and then along the door jam.

While you have radio removed, plug the RCA white and red plugs into the back of the deck where it says "Subwoofer Output."

Run all the wires straight back to the amplifier

Use Speaker Wire to connect subwoofers to amplifier

I think I covered everything, it's not too complicated bascially self explanatory

Click support, download the manual.
This is an amped tube, meaning you do not need another amp.

From what I have read, it comes with the power wire (a measly 16 gauge wire) that is run and fused directly to the + wire on your battery.

It also takes RCA or HI-LEVEL inputs. I suggest running RCA cables. These are sold at walmart by scoche (and likely at bestbuy as well, they shouldn't be too expensive.

According to the manual, you have a ground wire included as well as a remote turn on wire. The remote turn on wire should be wired alongside the RCAs to the rear of the deck, where it should be crimped onto the decks remote turn on wire.

Be sure to wire your power wire on the opposite side of the car of the RCA and remote turn on. Otherwise you can get distortion.

Hope this helps.

@joeshmo : Thanks for the reply. The pdf and your post was extremely informative. But i forgot to mention a problem. My relative severed most of the wires that was connected to the woofer.
Here's how the connection area looks like on my woofer:

Not sure what most of the ports mean, but ill get started reading the pdf soon.

And here's the wires that i was given with the woofer:

Another thing, even without a subwoofer, i noticed that with my rear stereos on my car, when a high bass song plays, it rocks the back area and windshield more violently than the front. I'm not sure if the stereos are different from the front stereos, and i have no idea how to turn the volume and bass on my rear speakers. I'm kinda scared that they might pop or worse, break my windows.

Your rears are probably 6x9s whereas the fronts are 6.5s. The larger woofer cones produce more volume and certainly more bass. If you want to, find a fade option on the headunit and fade to the front. Most of the time, plugging in RCA cables will disable the rear speakers. This will alleviate the problem.

The subwoofer "harness" you got is pretty hacked up. Those two blue wires accept the lo-out RCA cables from your headunit. You will need to get some new cables for the rest as the originals have been snipped.

I suggest you go to walmart and get the amplifier wiring kit. It will come with a positive wire (usually 4 or 8 gauge), a ground wire, and an RCA cable with a built in remote turn on wire. With this kit, you can easily upgrade to a new amp at any time. This kit would be wired directly to your harness and I can give you instructions on how to do that based on your manual.

Thanks. So would any of these work?
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Scosche-68...-Amps/14667122

or

http://www.walmart.com/ip/Scosche-27...-Amps/14667124

Any im kind of afraid to doing this myself, even though i would love to. I'm afraid because i have no experience or knowledge about audio/electronics that deal with cars and im afraid that i might damage my car in some way. So some detailed step by step instructions would help, and pictures are always handy
