Default highest D16 hp

What's the highest #'s you ever heard of a D16 putting out? DOesn't matter if it's overbored or anything, as long as the basis was a D16..

I did a search but it just keeps comin back for highest hp hondas ever and highest N/A and stuff like that..

So I was j/w how much whp some rich fucck was able to squeeze out of a D16..

If you were rich, would you stick with a D-series? Probably not.

Currently the 8th thread down in the FI forum:

I had a D16z6 with a greddy turbo with 8 psi. and dynoed at 289hp to the wheels. Just a stock motor with full MSD, DC header, and Greddy exhaust. Wasn't too bad for just a stock motor. Took it to the 1/4 mile and it ran a 14.6 with the turbo. When the motor blew at 15psi., I sold the turbo and went N/A. When the motor was rebuilt back stock, it ran a 15.6 in the 1/4 mile for just all motor. It ain't the fastest but faster than alot a SOHC.

There's a handful of 400+whp setups. One of which is built on Vitara's, and the other was a 100% stock Z6 who survived a boost spike and made 410whp.

The torque numbers aren't too shabby either, and not all of them have a TON of money thrown into their setups. Quite a few 11 second setups out there, a few of which just need better slicks to see 10s.

I'm shooting for 400+ on my build, will need to change a few things to get there, but it's a goal.

Greddy turbo kit at 8psi making 289hp, HAHAHAHAHAHA.

DC header with a turbo kit, really now?

Ran a 14.6 with 289hp? Nice!

Nitrous and a GT35R.

I can't wait till his build is done, but it hasn't put down those numbers yet so we have to wait and see.

"I had a D16z6 with a greddy turbo with..."

Good story about an incredible tune, shitty driver and a near magical set of parts. I wonder if the 14.6 was after turning the boost to 15psi?

"Next time you lie, make sure you do it right."

Amen.

It was 15.6 with a DC header, Greddy ehaust, and full MSD. With the turbo kit, (without the header of course!!!) It ran a 14.6. You can run faster if your parents pay for all your parts. But for the ones who doesn't 15.6 is pretty fast since you only spent like $1000 instead of a full motor build, top of the line everything, and of course....your parents credit card. I really don't knock on people unless they are stupid enough to think you can run a turbo kit with a DC header!!!! Think and read again before you start knocking on people!!!

I guess I'll chime in here. My son rota92 and I are confident we'll make 600 with out Nitrous. We're chasing a software problem that won't allow the engine to rev past 3900rpm. Jeremy, Tony1 and AEM are working the problem, we'll get it figured out soon.

The good news for us was this engine sounds much healthier than last years.

Think and read again? I can think, you can't write! I'm still calling bullshit on your 286 or whatever HP on 8psi... or even 15psi on a greddy kit. Especially on the stock block you so claim.

Oh, and my parents have never bought me car parts. I've shelled out all the money on my own, and expect to run well into the 13s with my setup now.
