correct me if im wrong to replace the o-ring all i got to do is mark the top bolt where it is then unbolt the 3 bolts on the dizzy pull it out, take old ring off, oil new ring and then reinstall just the way I took it off correct?

Make sure you make some sort of a mark so that the distributor goes into the same position after you reinstall it - that way you won't screw up your timing.

that shaft is slightly offset to one side.it must go back on in the same orientation.
if you look at the slot in the cam and the groove on the dizzy,you can see the offset.just match them up.if the distributor doesn't want to go back on straight,it may be 180 degrees off.don't force it-take it off and check the position of the keyway.

just keep in mind that if you turn the rotor,it's no big deal.just make sure you align it like i said above before installing it.
