d15b into 93 eg si in place of z6 motor, some wiring questions and a "Car wont start" thread
Alright H-t, im stumped and i've come to you for help.
Heres the deal
My buddy has a 93eg si with the stock z6 motor. Motor is done so he decided to swap in the d15b motor. We are using the p28 ecu and the z6 wiring harness with the d15b motor. The car has pulled a couple of CELs but recently they have gone off. Now we were able to drive the car but we are haveing several problems with starting it up and now have come to the point of no start.
We are also using the z6 distributor, is this ok?
I can use the z6 harness for the d15b motor correct?
I can use the p28 ecu, do i have to chip it?
Using the z6 harness, i keep the 4 wire o2 sensor correct?
I need to switch over to the z6 vtec selonoid on the d15b motor becuase of the pressure switch? (I'm a little confused to this?)
And finally, we go to start the car, the fuel pump starts to prime and the CEL is bright and slowly starts to flicker. A Clicking sound comes directly from the main relay. I can feel the main relay click. I swapped in another relay and it does it to this also. Im pretty sure its a fuel problem right now but i cant pull the code with the CEL dimming and the relay clicking.
Any help is appreciated as ive exhausted myself in searching....

The clicking sound could be because you're low on battery since you're Cel's are really dim. Try recharging battery.(happened to me)
