The factory d-series engine that came in the US/CDN models did not come with LSD...aka..positraction.

You can use regular honda MTF or guy GM Synchromesh to hide any gear grinds

Yes you can use honda MTF for the tranny fluid.
You can use GM Synchromesh to hide any gear grinds you may have. Going from 2nd to 3rd might have a gear for example...if it's slight then GM synchromesh may help quiet it

Yeah, either one will work just fine.

If the tranny is grinding into gears, GM syncromesh has a tendency to make them go away.

no it doesnt, put one wheel on a wet grass patch, and the other on dry concrete, drop the clutch, and watch that one wheel spin.

better yet, jack up just one front wheel, leave the other in full contact w/ the ground, ease out on the clutch in second gear, and see if it jumps off the jack.

Next time you use "posi" to describe your Honda, I'm gonna e-kick you in your e-*********.

You don't drive a chevy, and your car doesn't have an LSD.

100% sure its not posi, unless you dropped in a 350 or equivillent.

1.) Positraction is a Chevrolet term.

2.) if you have a D-series engine that originated in America you DO NOT have a limited slip differential. Period. Just because both wheels can turn at the same time does not mean that you have LSD. I'm getting so sick of explaining this to people. Put your car up on jack stands and gently release the clutch: both wheels spin. This does not prove anything.

3.) you have a Honda. Regardless of the state of the manual transmission, you use Honda MTF to fill it. Period. You may use Synchromesh Friction Modified if you have a grind that you want to take care of, but Honda MTF is your best bet for meeting all criteria without danger to any components.

who said it did??? if one wheel has absolutely no traction and the other has full traction, the one off the groun will spin (non-LSD). i agree w/ everything you said, just making sure you dont think i said jack both wheels up.

It isn't gear lube, it is manual transmission fluid. As others have repeatedly stated, go to your local Honda or Acura dealer and ask them for manual transmission fluid. Very simple.
