S40 TRANNY. hard gear shifting need help with lube.
hello everyone.
i got a s40 tranny and its kinda hard to shift gears when the engine is cold.(very hard from standing when the car is standing)
its get easyer when the engine warms up.
currantly i got 20-50w in the tranny.
which lube should i use to make the shifting easyer until ill rebuild it.
thanks.

Get some of the new honda mtf. I just put it in mine, way better than the synchromesh friction crapified I had before.

Opposite for me. Everytime I decide to use Honda MTF instead of whatever I used before it shifts like ***.
I just use Castrol GTX 10W-30

thats your problem, you are using 20W50 in your tranny. honda recommends you to use honda mtf, or 10w30 motor oil. the 20w50 is to thick for your tranny.
i would change it out asap before you ruin your tranny.
