Default Overheating.... Damn...

I was driving home from work and I noticed the temp gauge was almost in the red and I was like **** n pulled over and let it cool for a few. Then I managed to make it home with the heater on. Then I checked and I could hear the resevoir/the radiator bubbling quite loud and it was a little low on fluid. So I dunno I think its prolly the thermostat. What the lowest temp one I could put in it ? And what if I take the guts out of thermostat? so itll just run it full flowing?
well thanks a lot ~ Jon

you vould run it with the tstat always open (no tstat at all, essentially) but it would take longer to reach normal operating temp, which is bad aswell (i guess) just replace it, its not expencive

Things to check
-you might want to check your coolant levels and/or change and flush coolant
-check radiator cap...if it looks busted change radiator cap
-replace thermostat (i wouldnt suggest you take it out now...because winter is comming up soon and you need it to warm up your car)
-wire your fan to a switch or you can wire your fan to stay on constant.
-if all does not work...change your head gasket.

So it ended up overheating a little today coming home on sunset blvd so I pulled over n let it cool a little checked fluids... checked everything ever my fuse box and it ended up being a 7.5amp fuse that blew that controls the electric fan. So I was like DAMN FUSES! hah but made it home ok so Im happy now, I was worried for a little bit. Well thanks a lot guys ~ Jon
