my little delima
well right now i have a b16a in my 91si hatch, recectly got real serious with autoX.
my delima: i want a fast car (1/4) and thats still good for autoX
i have some turbo parts laying around, but then i thought about getting a single cam motor (add the basics, clutch&flywheel, i/h/e maybe a cam) and using just roll that, but then it wont be as fun as the b16 turbo route i coulda/might go.
im asking for your opinion?
some goodies i have chillin in my closet: greddy timing belt, jumper harness,odb1 dizzy, s200. 450cc injectors, t28 turbo. (just needing a mani and FMI with piping)
what should i do? ...keep in mind i still want a good autoX car

read your rule books and make up your mind if you willing to go into a class that has f/i in it.
You might be running vs some real bad boys like c6 vettes on slicks or what not.

yeah i need to do that, i was also gonna pull out my shitty carpet but then i wouldnt have "full interior" and that would be in a diff class also (i think)
EDIT: anyone else have an opinion? i think the b16 turbo would be fun, i can always just turn the boost down while autoXing
my suspension is tokico illuminas, progress springs, progress sway bar on the way, front and rear strurt bars, rota group n with the new azienis 615s on the way

ITBs are freakin expensive! lil far outa my price range, still need to buy FMIC, piping, and manifold ...ill sell my s200 for the 300 also (sooner or later, when the time comes)
more opinions? ...thinking i should stick with my b16 and go turbo
EDIT: anthor option, all motor (b series) with spray?

you really need to read your rule book before making a decision if you're serious about auto-x. if not i say sell b for d15B and turbo that

heres what i found so far: http://www.scca.com/Club/Index...7|060&~=
^^says this: Each class has over 30 different cars eligible to compete within that class. SSB is made up of entries like the Acura RSX-S, BMW Z-3 and Z-4, Honda Prelude, Mazda Miata and Nissan Maxima. SSC is the slower, but no less exciting Showroom Stock class and includes cars such as the Dodge Neon, Honda Civic Si, Mazda Protégé and Nissan 200SX
so i would be in the SSC class? ...but it said STOCK, didnt see anything about turbo'd cars?
