I could not find much information on mating a boosted motor to an ITR tranny with the ATS 4.9
It seems that everyone is saying that you won't get any traction with boost + final drive, but the description of boost is very vague. I have 7psi on my stock internal motor from the Jackson Racing Supercharger. I bought, but have not yet installed my ATS 4.9.
I currently have 215 WHP @ 9k RPM and 147 ft lbs. across the mid range with stock manifold and exhaust, so when I upgrade there is more power to be had. I have RT 615 Azenis...
Has anyone run a similar setup with the ATS 4.9 ?
NOTE: I do not drag the ITR. It is my daily driver currently, and sees track days during the summer. I want to know if this will be TOO extreme, or will I lose performance by having too aggressive gearing.

Here's a video of Keith's ITR. Stock internals, 7lbs of boost with JRSC, and ATS 4.9fd.

With 230whp I cannot get traction in 2nd N/A with the ATS 4.9 on cold nights. 1st is just retarded.
I would love to drive a JRSC'd ITR with a 4.9
PS That video link doesnt work =\

to the op, since you daily drive your car, how has super charging it changed fuel usage? Is it a whole lot more or is it still bearable.

with a mix of city and highway, I was originally getting about 23 to 25 mpg.
I now get 15 to 17 mix, and if i am only on the interstate I get about 26 mpg

you've taken your 5 speed and effectively made it into a 4 speeder
its a shame no ones come out with an affordable modified tranny with 7-9 gears

So is the diffence in tunning it, in how lean/rich you run it and what type of mods do you have plus your jrsc?

boost + 4.9 final drive does nothing but put more torque to the wheels.
if you're spinning, you can do one of two things
1. Get tires with more traction
2. put less torque to the wheels
the ONLY reason that you should hold back on is that you'll be shifting into 5th in the 1/4th. But even then, run larger slicks.
infinitude is stronger and cheaper
