Q: high pitch sound coming from my motor? what is it?
recently swaped my JDM LS b18B got from Hmotors. put my old turbo set up on it. got it dyno'd hit 212.whp @6psi tuned on chrome. well im hearing this high pitched sound coming from my motor.. sounds like what u hear in ur ear sometimes when u hear ringing in it.. iono how to really explain.. is it electrical or motor wise? iono but im 100% sure i am hearing it and am not trippin.. i havnt really taken my motor to anyone to listen to yet. but wondering if anyone on here knows wwhat it can be or if its anything to worry about. other then taht my motor is runnin good and strong. mysetup is a t3/t4 turbo /w 550cc injecs etc etc
belts and bearings make high pitched squeels, check the belts to see if they are cracked, and look at the pullys to make sure they are running true (straight)
Also, check the wheel bearings

jack up the front end, take the wheel off, and spin the hub, if you hear it dragging, or grinding, replace it.
(just in case you dont know what the hub is, its the disc with the studs in it. The brake disc is infront of it. If you dont understand that, take it to a mechanic)

i know what the hub is.. but what does this have to do with the car hearing a loud high pitch noise when the car is STILL. idle. parked. ETC.
