ok i really wanted to put si gauges in my car but then i wanted to be really different and get a cluster like an F1 car then i came to reality and thought about putting an s2000 cluster in my car. has anyone done this and/or know about how the fitment is and what needs to be moddified to fit/or make it work correctly?

Search around a bit as this has surely been asked a bunch of times, and I believe DONE a few times too...

I'll see what I can dig up for you though in the meantime man.

EDIT: See if any of these help...

Theres many more threads. I searched "S2000 Cluster", clicked "archived posts" and searched in the "92-00 Civic/Del Sol" forum, you'll get like 20 results I believe but I posted the ones that seemed to offer the most help. Apparently its pretty doable but isnt simple.

Good luck. Looks bad ******* *** if you ask me...

After you re-wire the harnesses, everything will work except for the speedometer. You won't get the speedometer to work unless you are an electrical engineer and can fab up electronics. And before you ask - no, there are no write-ups anywhere.

You're SOL.

WOW man...two fiddy for the adapter? Plus the cost of the cluster itself. Now I see what people mean when they say it just may not be "worth it" to most people. At least now the OP knows its definetly possible, now its just up to him to decide wether or not he's willing to do what it takes.

Is it just me or is the tach way off (around 1800 rpms)?

he is mostlikely rving the engine at the time to show the tach works, otherwise it would just look like its idleing.

edit. If you look closely, he is actually driving the car on the street when the pic was taken, that explains everything.

Yeah hes driving it, look at the speedo, and it all depends if he hooked up the small tac correctly or not.

Wow I remember taking that picture back in 2001 or so. That was my friend's car. Had spoon calipers, J's Racing chin and duckbill, 5-lug conversion, etc. It was pretty sick.

No **** he's driving. Look at the 2 working Tachs in the car. The one on the far left of the pic is right around 1700, the one on the S2k cluster is over 3500 rpms. I am sure that the small tach work correctly, the S2k might be a whole other story.

you guys ever think that maybe his corner tach is unhooked right now and he's using the lead for it to run the tach on the s2k cluster??

some aftermarket tachs have the needles in weird places when they dont have a good signal...or the tach could be bad

The S2000 VSS uses a different signal than all previous Honda electronic VS sensors. An electronic D- or B-series sensor won't work with the S2000 cluster unless the signal is converted.

Mark Lamond from the UK had been working on this project for a long time and had gotten it to work, but did not post any how-tos or offer a convertor product - if you wanted it done, you had to send him your cluster for conversion. Apparently this DSCustoms place just recently started offering conversion modules for the DIYer. I apologize for the misinformation; I was unaware they were offering these products.
