S2000 Gauge Cluster in 95 Civic Coupe
Here's my question: I was wondering if it is possible to put the S2000 digital cluster into a 95 Civic. I'm sure the wiring would be a bitch, but would it actually fit into the dash without major modification to the dash itself? People selling it have said it would work, but I'm curious if anyone has actually seen it done, or if they actually know how to get it to work. I appreciate the help in advance. Thanks.

Yes you can make it work. The problem arrises that the cluster is a few inches shorter on either side than the stock eg clusters. You can overcome this by buying a sheet of carbon fiber, or even black plastic and making a trim piece that hides the gaps. The wiring is a bit difficult, but nothing that you cant do if you can read a schematic and match up wire to wire. I am going to be doing this very soon in my EG hatch, I have the wiring pretty much figured out, just have to order the carbon fiber sheet and trim out the piece to make it fit.

How (and where) do you go about buying a sheet of carbon fiber? About how much does that run and how difficult is it to fabricate to work with the S2K cluster? Thanks for your help.

i'd like to see the wiring diagram that you used...........i have a degree in electrical wiring and i cant even figure out a compact way of converting the analog signals going into the cluster to digital so it would work for the s2000 cluster......
Is is possible that the signals are converted to digital inside of the cluster? I'm really not sure and I'm asking. I'm curious to see if anyone has actually done it.

S2K clusters are annoying as ****!
Kinda like when you're playing GT3 on 2 player mode and have to stare at that tiny tach. You could never tell when that thing is gonna redline.

you can get sheets of cf here: http://www.selectproducts.com/
Here's a pic of a guy who lives here who did it in his CX hatch. He got everything to work except for the speedo b/c the speed sensors are so different between a civic and an s2000. He has since sold the cluster and the hatch. The hatch also had an ITR 5-lug conversion and Spoon calipers.

S2000 speed senor question:
Could you use the s2k senor worked somehow to fit the B series tranny and run directly to cluster?
I don't mean like ductaped in or anything, something like changing the eletrinics out, or something. Just a thought.

I would think that the S2000 guage cluster would work in the same manner as any other honda guage cluster, just that the "DISPLAY" is done with LED's or digitally rather than analog or pointers... So conversion from analog to digital should not be an issue. Look at the older model preludes, some models came with a digital display and some came with analog display...

The guages are actually the one thing I don't really like about an S2000...if I were to get an S2000, would I be able to swap in an EG cluster?
A guy in an EG that hardly posts here has done it. Got it all working with the exception of the MPH. Im actually wanting to do this modification too.

where can you buy small small pieces of plastic that i could mold to fill in the gap on the top of my gsr cluster swap?
