Default Help! Removing shift rod

How do you remove the spring pin? I need to remove the shift rod for my swap.

Do you hit it out from the bottom? What tools do I use?

The infamous bitch pin. I believe the tool needed to remove that is called a pin punch or something along those lines. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/1719892 That link has the correct name for the tool. Also, to make it easier to remove the shift linkage from the shifter then once you have the tranny out you'll have more room to work on removing the pin.

You can leave it attached to the tranny and disconnect it from the shifter, then once the tranny is removed, you will have room to knock the bitch pin out.

Edit: damn, I just read the final line of the previous post, my bad, same advice
Ali, we almost used the same exact words, that is too freaky.

All you need is an air hammer and the right size bit.

hold a towel on the other side or you will lose the pin,
just hit the trigger and its out.
