Default Higher Compression=Higher HP but how to figure?

I have a couple questions- 1. Can a H22A engine have a 10.0-1 compression ratio stock or is it only the h22A1,4? 2. I know if I get Type S pistons I have to get the h22a4 rods do to the floating pins, correct? Anything else I need? Lets say I get the compression bumped up to about 11.4-1 with the pistons and head gasket, what kind of gain is to be expected?

you don't NEED to get 97 up rods, but it does make it easier, but any competent machine shop can modify the older rods to accept the floating wrist pin. are you in the market for some type s pistons? lemme know i have a set for sale brand new in box

I got a deal on some for $200 dollars so... how much do you think a shop will charge for such modifications? Actually I even know what to expect for labor costs for getting the pistons installed? Any ideas?

holy crap, a deal? i got my h22 rods (a1's) for $50 , so i don't think a4's should be 200!

second a semi genral rule of thumb is that compression can yeild about 10hp per point you go up to a certian point then there are no greater returns.

you could always do some street tune and if its a obd2 p13 you are s.o.l.

I found someone to tune today! His shop is ******* hidden but damn he has some nice rides, 240sx Boosted H22A Accord, And last but not least his 730HP WRX, I've seen the dyno sheet. It runs a 10.3 in the 1/4
