Default Timing issue help

How do you adjust the timing for a DA b18a engine.
I place the light on but don't see the marking....

Is the engine running while you're doing this?

if he sees the light, then Im going to say yes. First familarize yourself with here the timing marks are on the crank pulley (look at it with a normal light), look for the arrow on the lower cover and then try it again.

Not sure where it is, but you need to disconnet a wire, and then hook up the timing belt. Then adjust the distributor and check the timing. You cannot set it while the computer has control of the timing, hence the wire disconnect.

Is it connected to the #1 spark plug wire?

I forgot all about that, the wire you need to jump is the same to check the CEL, its the blue plug under the glove box. I have been able to do it without jumping it in the past, but its never a bad idea to make double sure.

Where is that wire?
I read it somewhere said I need to jump the 2 prong connector in the car?
Where is this connector?
