4 pt harness?
it should be legal, but I would only use it for track use and keep the regular belt in for street use, plus it is much more convenient if you have to reach for something in the glove box, back seat, etc...
some harnesses have expiration dates on them for track use (so i have heard)

Cali aside, to be legal in the US, it can't be a camlock. Number of belts doesn't matter, just that there is a specific release mechanism. As far as I know, only the Schroth Rallye belts are legal, since they have the legally required push button release. Also, all aftermarket belts need to have the DOT tag on them to be legal for street use.
If there are others that are DOT legal, I'd love to know about them.
