electrical problem....HELP!!
speedo is bouncing around and the alternator is not charging the battery. I did notice a fuse under the dash that blew, I changed it out and everything worked for about 20 minutes of driving and then the fuse blew again. Obviously there is a short, but where? I've searched around this forum and it seems that a lot of people have had this problem. Where is the short usually located for those of you who have had this problem? Its getting frustating and I really dont want to spend big $$$ and take it in to the dealer.
What fuse keeps blowing? And what size? Are you throwing any CELs? How fast does the battery go dead? What kind of car also? Obviously an EG/EK/Sol but what model?

If you recelty eliminated your second O2 sensor look at the wires, make sure that they do not touch, this will cause that problem, also, any sensor that has any open wires on the backside of the intake manifold shouldbe check, I had this problem, you might have CEL for the ELD, ignore that, as it will go off in this problem, and it is not faulty, its a open wire grounding out somewhere, just gotta find out where, took me 5 days to find mine.
I looked pretty much everywhere for a short and couldn't find anything. Already went through a whole pack of fuses. Anyone know how much the dealer would charge to fix something like this.
