Remove the trim..
Look under the dash for the nuts. I think they are 12mm and down at the bottom there is a 10 mm. There is also a plastic trim piece around the column...

Just remove everything that is bolted or plugged onto the column.
Whats the dif in the 2 dashes you are changing?

Carefull dont just go unpluging wires! Make sure you are not messing with any of the SRS wiring. if you do you risk setting off the air bag. Just make sur eto secure the air bad per the shop manual and you won't have any problems

just disconect the battery wait about 3 mintues so that anything that still has power can discharge. Or just touch the neg. pos. terminals off the battery that will discharge any current in the circuts. Continue on with removing whatever. Also make sure to keep your steering wheel striaght as possiable because your vehicle has a clock spring for the srs air bag. You can damage. So when you disconect the linkage from the guide pin from the steering rack hold it striaght or have a freind hold it until you can remove it out of the vehicle.
