Default B16 swap

I just swapped my singlecam for a JDM B16 1st gen. For some reason the rpms jump from 1,000 to 2,000 while idleing. Instead of just idleing normally. And it doesnt stop. Has anyone had this problem and can you help me? Its kinda annoying now.

I had it doing the same thing, turns out that i had the TPS sensor in the wrong position, just had to loosen the bolt and then move the TPS back and forth then it quit, also on another swap their was a small hole in one of the vacuum lines , replaced and stopped that issue, so try those things.

Sure i did, when it is going up and down the rpm range. What ou may want to try is tak eit off and make sure when you look at the tps there is a part that will fit right in the TPS housing, it only can fit one way, make sure you get the square thing on the TPS center right in the T/B, then out the screws back in and if still going up and down move it twisting like till the engine settles down, also check the idle position of the bitterfly in the throttlebody, it's the screw in the front of the T/B, just mske sure it not all the way in.

I would definately check all the vacuum lines. Thats been the cause of at least half of the idle problems I have seen.
Try playing with the TPS too like 91sifreak said. You could even try changing it with the one from your old engine to see if it changes anything.

Did moving the TPS around work or messing with the idel control spring on the throttlebody?

Definately check ur TPS it should be reading 0.5 volts at idle. That's most likely ur problem. Hope it works!

Could also be a throttle body leak, check that area for leaks with your finger too.

I had a similar problem with my B16...we did the basic TPS and Vacuum leak check...but it turned out to be my throttle cable, as there wasn't enough slack in the line.

I had the same problem. And it was the tps. You have to play with it a bit.
