Default SWAP B16 or a D16Z6vtec

Hey word up I got 1,500 in my pocket I want to go with either a D16Z6vtec or a B16 swap. Into a HONDA CIVIC 92 DX…..what do you guys suggest keep get more money & do the B16 swap or just go with a D16Z6vtec for right now? My car is stock right now.
How much would I come out spending doing the B16 swap & what engine do u recommend to get. How much are the B16 running for? Or just do a mini me swap into my stock D15B7 just add a D16Z6vtec.

WAHT DO YOU THAINK THE D16 HAS WHAT MAYBE MAYBE 120-130 HP AND SNGLE CAM OR A B16 DOCH VTEC WITH ABOUT 160 HP AND MORE TOURQE

B16 would be my choice. You next question would be can I find a full B16 swap for 1500.00?

b16 definately. more torque stock and more oppurtunity to stomp some *** on the hwy.

you guys keep saying more torque, the b16 has 5 more trq....its still a tourqueless 1.6L but since its a b16 or a mini me, definatley the b16. or why not save a couple hundred more and go a full d16 swap and turbo?

i can get u a b16 swap for a eg6 for 1600-1700 with everything, but i dont kno how much shipping would be, i'd have to call and check. i also have a 92 B17 GSR swap for 1700. Just hit me up on my AIM or email me if you want anything

ya u can get a b16 or swap d16z6 learn how to drie well and smoke b16 swapped hatches all day long....

get the d16 for 350-400.. go homemade turbo for 1200 with intercooler and ud whoop on a lot of cars... oh yah.. i know a guy that will get u a turbo intercooler put on and tuned for 1400

Wouldnt it be best to get a b16 or anything besides a d series SOHC. Its a better platform to have if you want to go turbo in the future.

depends on what your goal is. The D series can be built to be an awesome motor making some decent power. My buddy built his D16 to prove a point and put down 425whp, which isnt bad for a little D. Of course the B series might have more potenial but again it comes down to goal. If all you want to do is build a good fast daily driven car, the a turbo D is good.

between b16 or d16. get a b18 more torque but no vtech but u can make it vtec.... other than that i just got done building a d16 nitrous.. and the thing runs 12.7 on baby slicks... honestly i like single cam.. its funner and cheep.. but b16 is fun too just nos the crap out of it .. not enought torque...have fun

In the last couple of months, I was trying to find a complete D16z6 motor and couldn't. I wanted a spare one for my SCCA ITA car. I did however find a B16 "motor only" for pretty damn cheap. I also found high milage stock 92 SI. So, I bought the EG SI and thinking of buying the B16 for it. Don't know yet.

hmmm didnt think funner was a word...

But back to the topic.. Its gonna come down to what you want out of your car... Do you want lots of power or do you just wanna have some fun in a turbo D...
