i need help...

Default i need help...

i have a jdm b16 with intake high comp pistions and rods...during higher rpms it is jerking...i can not figure out the problem, could it have anything to do with the spark plugs i am using? i am using ngk plugs?

Plugs won't cause a 'jerk'. Explain your situation a bit more. Maybe some details on the engine and the car?

when i get to like 6500 it will not pull as hard then around 7000 it will start pulling hard again...

Elaborate. You said you have high comp pistons? Did you get it tuned? You might be leaning right out which could cause detonation. If that happens, kiss your ringlands goodbye!

it has yet to be tuned...if i get it tuned should i switch to obd1?

OBD0 only let's you tune up to 8000rpm, after that it uses the last known fuel map/timing map (the one from 8000rpm) to continue it's journey upwards, won't make maximal power. Using OBD1 let's you go all the way to whatever you want!

Another note, get your **** tuned and you won't have that studder. You are probably leaning out large. Use 94 octane gas if you are untuned and have high comp (over 11.5:1).

if i was running a high compression motor, i would convert to obd1 and run the hondata s200, perfect for all motor cars.... my $.02
