Can fouled plugs cause a consistent misfire at a specific RPM?
Well with all my crapy tuning I think I fouled my plugs. But Im not quite sure though. My plugs are pretty black. What Im wondering is if having fouled plugs will cause consistent misfires at a specific RPM. At ~4500 rpms I keep getting a real rich condition that I can seem to tune out. No matter how much fuel I take out I keep getting a real sharp dip in my AF at ~ 4500 rpms. I can also feel my car kind of jerk at that spot. I would just replace the plugs and see if that does anything but there isnt anything open right now that carries the heat range plug I need. Tommorow though I should be able to pick up another set.
Here is one plot of my AF ratio that shows the dip.
