Default Loud screeching when reversing

Car is a 95 Accord EX 2DR. (I think it has rear disc brakes...)

Very loud screeching noise only when I reverse the car. The sound is definitely coming from the rear wheels and diminishes as I push down on the brake and does not make a noise when I reversing VERY slowly. But as soon as I let off the brake the horrible sound comes back!

A friend told me it's the emergency brake and some sort of spring may have worn out and something is rubbing something else in the rear.

Anyways, I'll be replacing front rotors and pads as well as bleeding and flushing the brake system so I'll be looking at the rear brake system when I replace the rear pads. In advance, any advice or suggestions?
