A/C Woes
I took off my a/c about three years ago and luckily i kept everything i had it all in a bog storage box. Yesterday i got fed up with the heat and bought a new compressor...but i dont remember how all the hoses went before. Can anyone take some pictures of their setup to let me see whats going on. I have a/c in my civic but it is the sanden and I have the matsushita in my CRX which is what i need. thanks to anyone who can help. is there anything i shouild replace along with the compressor? I know about the drier already. thanks
I'd go ahead and research converting to R134a if you've already got everything uninstalled. It's almost impossible, and rather expensive if you can, to get R12 (what our cars used stock). The conversion just involves changing some fittings and what not. As far as the lines, you should have one running off the compressor up front to the condenser, then another line up over the header and back to the firewall by the heater valve.
The routing of the hoses are the same for both your hatchback and CRX. Just compair one against the other.
The only hoses that are different are the two that attach directly to the compressor (due to one being Sanden and the other Matsu).
