How much life does my CX clutch have left?
Ive got about 105k miles on my 92 CX, does anyone have an idea of how long these clutches usually last? I bought the car 2 years ago at 77k from an old man, and i can count the times ive shifted at over 3k on my two hands.
My OEM clutch was in 100% working condition when I pulled it at 160k (had to upgrade because I was boosting soon). I'm sure they can go 200k+ easy. Just depends on the driver.
theres no definite asnwer to your question, they can last anywhere from 50k-200k depending on how you drive, if you drive city or highway, etc.
on avg a stock clutch goes about 100k with combined city and hwy, and a normal driver.
only way to tell you how much life is left is to take out the disc and measure the thickness, but at this point it would be stupid not to replace it since you have it out already
