Default Question about Euro-R Mani install...

I know some typre of porting needs to be done in order for the injectors to fit right. But i have little to no skills for such a gianormus task (or I'm lazy) What do you all think about this bracket?? will this solve my injector woes???

this bracket looks like it plugs the unnecessary holes near the fuel rail. i don't think this will fix the porting of the injectors. you still have to modify either the injector or the ports for the injectors to fit.

a dremel is your friend. All you gotta do is make the port bigger?

That has nothing to do with the 'porting' you need to do around the injectors.

this bracket just eliminates the need to fabricate a fuel rail hold down. the porting to be done around the injectors is because when using the usdm stock injectors the sit way to high, where ase the oringinal Euro R injectors are much longer..

the porting will still need to be done.

Exactly. And you won't have to be quite as liberal with it as 2point6 was.

You people are great. This is exactly why I asked this question. Well ,just so happens I have a dremel so I guess its off to port i go. But the bracket is still a good investment ,right??(its only 20 bucks or so)

sure, it saves you time by not having to find those screws to plug those holes.

no this plate is only for helping to mount the fuel rail. The egr ports that are in the manifold still need to be tapped and plugged if your not using egr, which it is really hard to find the EURO r egr stuff.

the only thing this plate is for is to mount your stock fuel rail
