ok so i attempted to do my timing belt and failed so i put back everything together and then tried to start it and now it wont start. it turns and the car shakes A LOT but doesnt turn on fully.
Redo the belt again until you get it right. Sadly thats all you could do. Also to help you out is do a compression check each time you finish to know if its good.

I see your point, but rather than criticizing, why not offer technical advice... this is a tech forum after all...

first of all i dont see how having a high post count will enable me to do a timing belt, but as far as what i did. i got as far as removing the a/c belt and alternator belt and when it came to taking the crank pulley bolt off i couldnt. so i just gave up and put everything back the way i found it and now when i try and crank the car it turns over but it doesnt start because it sounds like something is stuck and the car just dies.

what exactly did you do or NOT do? what did you remove or change?
your timing might have changed...
spark plug wires not in correct order, not plugged in all the way? etc. etc.
there's lots of things that could be wrong... we just need to know exactly what you did.

Did you remove the spark plug wires or the distributor in this process? It's pretty difficult to help you when you're only giving us the tiniest bit of information relevant to the situation.

i only removed the spark plug wires. not from the distributor but from the valve cover so i can get it off, removed the upper timing belt cover, then proceded to remove the a/c belt, then the alternator belt, then i proceded to try and remove the crank pulley bolt with a impact gun, it wouldnt come off so i put everything back the way it was and tried to crank it and wont start now. could i have thrown off the timing or anything like that by what i did? i also removed my spark plugs and checked them and the tips looked to be caked with carbon and the #4 spark plug had gass on it. when i try and crank the car it sounds like it wants to turn over but there is something holding it back like its stuck or something.
