i have a sohc jdm zc i drained the oil out of it but i did not change the oil filter and i put 4q of 10w30 mobil1 fully syn but now its marking to much oil how much oil does a 1.6 sohc take and what should i do

 

it should only take 3.8 with filter change so I guess about 3.5 or so

 

Ok if you love your B16 like your name says. Then you would change the filter. Just drain a little add tell the stick reads full. Hello Hello.

 

hello hello read the thread i no longer have a b16 my car was stollen so i had to rebuild so now i have a sohc zc and i did do that but all my problem is fixed now

 

ok.
you have to drain some oil,
there is about 300ml to 400ml oil in the filter,
you should have change the filter as it contains all the rows, materials.
plus that bad oil in the filter had mixed with the new oil,

Any ways, drain the 1/2 liter oil from the oil sump in a clean container and check, if the mark show low, then add the oil tot he mark,

hey how did your car fail inspection due to weight what did you take out to make so light

 

defenetelly change the oil filter, its cheap , takes about 7 minutes max to change ,
