ok my 89 crx with a b16 isnt reving to 82 like it should with the pr3 so i thought the ecu might have been messed up so i got another and it did the same thing and im only reving to 7k whats my prolbem and i have a vafc(vtec controller) please help

 

Disconnect the VTEC wires on the VAFC and hook them back up to the ECU. Then try it and see what it does.

 

so forget about the vtec controller?

Yes try that.

Then report back.

 

Coolant sensor might be bad.ECU doesn't know it's warmed up.

 

im having this problem also.

 

today i talked to a guy that builds race cars and he said it could be my valve springs or someting **** but i guess he said that so he can put new ones in a charge me for nothin lol and i dont see that from stoppin it from reving so ill try the coolant sensor thanks and ill report back

 

ok its not the coolant temperature sensor so now what???????
