Default OEM deck and hooking up an amp

Hey guys,

I'm hooking up an amp to my stock deck, so far I have a few questions.
1. Any idea which wire from the deck is the remote control turn on for the amp? It's a honda oem deck.
2. As far as oem deck, they don't have RCA female for the RCA wires, so what I was thinking of hooking up some wires up to the oem deck into the rear left and right + and - to make them RCA wires. Would that work? Instead of buying a line out converter to make it RCA.
3. I'm getting a 4 channel amp for the rear speakers, I'm thinking of hooking up 2 channels to the speakers and maybe bridge 2 channel to a sub? Would that work? Or should it not be done at all. Or just get a 2 channel amp and post out more power for the rear speakers. The speakers can post out 180 Watts.

Thanks

you will have to get a hi to low output converter. If you're WAY into sound quality then... just buy a new HU... if you want to make it work... the converter is fine..

but don't get me wrong the converter won't sound like ****.... just not great

First off what type of amp are you running? Most new amps have a both rca hookups and line outs... For a remonte wire its best to go a ciggarette lighter because it is allready fused... If your deck doesnt have a line out then you are going to have to get a converter like was said.. Im running my system in my 06 accord on the factory deck and it sounds good but my amp has line outs...If your amp has line out you can just tap into the rear mounted speakers with scotch locks...

Just go to car toys and ask for a line out converter. It'll be around 20 bones.

Most of the setups like what you are doing have had bad engine noise in the background... just a thought

I would disagree: I used to run an loc before I bought a new deck. Sounded just fine.
