measure it and see if every thing is within spec. measure deck to check for warpage, taper within the cylinder walls. if anything it might just need new sleeves, that is the rod damaged the stock ones. but if everything is still with in spec i don't see why you can't get up and working again too.

If it's free, then take it. If you decide not to use it you can just sell it. Someone will buy it.

First, you need to check all measurements. Look for any damage to the cylinder walls. Fortunately Honda sleeves can be removed and replaced.

Don't have Hypersports, Sonic or any of those limp dick shops touch your block unless you want shitty work.

Send it off to Earls, Dart, Import Builders, Golden Eagle, AEBS... to get it resleeved. You can get an over bore, or stay stock if you want. There are many options.

I hear ground shipping from Honolulu takes forever.

Well...since I live in North Shore, I have plenty of experience using USPS ground and Fed Ex ground. All of which take around 4-7 days to ship.

If you simply sent off the block with all the the parts taken out of it and off of it, it wouldn't be more than $100.00 at the absolute max.
