Busted Drivesride mount on 96-00 Civic's
How come honda could not come up with a better mount. Ive broken mine about 5 times in five years twice last year. Im buying some after market one this time . Does anyone else have this problem.
This is a known problem. I'd recommend you buy an aftermarket mount. As you've learned, the OEM mount will continue to crack and leak.
Very common problem.. happened to me as well.
I didn't even bother getting another OEM mount when mine broke. I went to http://www.innovativemounts.com and got me a set. Awesome quality for a great price (they can be had for ~$250 on ebay).

I don't know might it have to do with how the car is used stock, by the rest of the people who know its not a racecar. My stock mounts lasted 120k on my 97 before I changed the drivers side and the back mount.

What kind of motor do you have? My brothers SOHC has never needed it @ all and it has over 180K Miles. So Im guessing its only B series that has this issue.

are u not running an a/c torque mount? w/o one causes alotta stress and flex on that one mount. been running my stock mounts with no problems for over 2 years with my built b- series. (with my a/c torque mount of course w/ urathane inserts.)
no flex what so ever.
