what does this tell you ?
my check engine light comes on when driving then goes off when i turn off the car. and stays off when i frist start the car and comes back on when after driving for like 10 min .what is up that{ 91 honda crx si } p.s the intake is not hooked up just a filter i got it like that would what cause a c.e.l?

yea when the light goes on, juts pull teh carpet down on the passenger side and count the number of times the light flashes.
intermittent check engine aftre driving for a bit is often o2 sensor, but it would be smarter to just see what your actual "fault code" is, by counting the LED flashes.

your going to get a set of small blinks then a long one then a set of small ones again. count the small ones if you get the same amount twice then you only have one code if not keep counting still you get the same number as the first sets amount

Its probabaly code 1 which is the O2 sensor..it blinks once and continues to only blink once so it seems that it is just a group of blinks

i think you are right , i went for emission yestrday and failed. hc reading was 01.29 and it should have been 01.20 & co reading was 051.27 and should have been 020.00 so i am going to replace the o2 sensor ,what i would like to know is do i have to get a honda sensor or can i get a denso off ebay and be ok .i know some honda parts are a must that is why i am asking thank you for reply
The Denso 1-wire O2 sensors for CRXs are like $26. You will need a special socket for your rachet to get the O2 sensor off though. I bought mine at Autozone for about $10...
After replacing mine in my 89 CRX Si, my mileage gone as high as 42mpg highway (it's currently 37-38 mpg w/ A/C blasting)...
