i have no idea what side that is. i think vtec solenoid + pressure switch (given that it is facing the motor)

Yes. You can see valve cover above, intake mani and an injector on the left and dizzy on the right.

that is the back of the head it is not the vtec **** it is for a mech fuel pump geez people.. tellin the man the wrong thing if your not positive dont answer...

how is that a mechanical fuel pump thing. i have that hole on my car to and if it were mechanical, there would be a hole in there going to the camshaft so a piston can rub on the lobe to work the pump.

No **** it's the back of the head. That's why everyone is saying the vtec noid + pressure switch go there. Quit trying to spread your dumb *** knowledge around.

People seem to forget that some D-series motors come carbed elsewhere and thus have a mech fuel pump that bolts there. Most if not all usdm heads have the boss there for it too my b1 does.
