that is the back of the head it is not the vtec **** it is for a mech fuel pump geez people.. tellin the man the wrong thing if your not positive dont answer...

how is that a mechanical fuel pump thing. i have that hole on my car to and if it were mechanical, there would be a hole in there going to the camshaft so a piston can rub on the lobe to work the pump.

People seem to forget that some D-series motors come carbed elsewhere and thus have a mech fuel pump that bolts there. Most if not all usdm heads have the boss there for it too my b1 does.
