how to store a block?

Default how to store a block?

i am rebuilding a d16 and i need to know how to store the block so that the sleeves dont rust. thanks in advance

yeah wd 40 or some kinda oil on the whole motor and rap it in plastic really good

yeah i wd-40 it today but i was just wondering if their was anything better! yeah i will wrap it in some pastic thanks anyones elses input would be great! thanks

Wipe the insides down with towels coated in wd40

Take some rags and spray them with wd40 and stuff one in each cylinder.

Next wrap a heavy trash bag around it all and seal it up.

Keep it indoors (like in a garage) off the floor.

A big zip-lock back to keep the freshness . Naw, what they said should be good. Just remember not to leave it out.

Do that except use a whole roll of cling-wrap before you wrap it in a garbage bag.

Wd-40 is ok but marine fogging oil is the best and that is exactly what it's made for.
When you store a boat over the winter you shoot it into the motor so it won't rust. It's the same price as WD-40 and works alot better.

wipe down cylinders wit canola oil,,put in sealed plastic and sit it on some wood..
