Default ??? DSM Injector install on h22 ???

After completing my turbo install i was pretty much just waiting for the injectors. Was running jdm h22 345cc injectors in the mean time. So DSMs come in and i hook everything up. Car Refuses to start, i starts to rumble as if it almost turns on but doesnt manage. Switched back to old injectors and no problems.

Running hondata tuned for the dsm's, boosted prelude.

wats wrong with the dsm's?

If the hondata was tuned for the 440cc's then the 345cc injectors would not run properly.

The problem is tuning related.

why cant you take the fuel map for the 345's and scale it to the 450's? if all you changed was the injectors then ur getting too much fuel.

are you obd1 or obd2?

im obd2. I dont think this si tuning related. Installing bigger injectors will simply make the car run rich but it should run. The tune i have is for 440cc injectors, but one of them went bad so i used the 345cc injectors for a ouple of days. Should start right up with the injectors.

Of course it's going to run richer from one injector to another. Just becuase it was for a 440cc car doesn't mean that it's going to work with your car. The motor could have been for a different compression, bore, etc. Also, if your fuel pressure isn't the same as the one that the map came from it will run completely different.

Listen to me. I do this for a living. It needs to be retuned.

Dude i already have hondata that is tuned for my setup with 440cc injectors.

Doesnt matter though, turns out i blew the main relay when i accidently switched up one of the wires of the injectors.

Are DSM injectors saturated or peak and hold? I always thought that they swapped right in on a 4th gen, but not on a 5th without a resistor box. Or I could be completely backwards on that.

Not sure if thats the issue or not, but its something else to think about.

Duuuuuuuuude all set-ups are not the same duuuuuuuuuuude. A 440cc map should not run 345cc injectors properly duuuuuude.

more like will not

a tune with 440cc injectors is going to have a lower injector pulse than that with a tune on 345cc.

the optimum injector duration between a 440 and a 345cc injector will not be the same at all.

You are completely missing the point. It is possible to swap out the injectors at will and the car WILL start. You are right it might run like **** but it should run at least. The problem was getting the car to start not making it run perfect... dude.

Turns out the main relay wasnt getting power for some reason. Problem solved.

And dont worry i am getting it tuned soon.

i would agree... when i put my 1000cc injectors in (i was new at the tunning thing) it took me forever to even get the SOB to start up... even though your dsm's arent all that big its probably the tunning..
